another one… big bold border this time. kind of like this one.

another cover, just with a different color scheme from the others. i had a couple people mention to me that they wanted to see the title slightly modified, so there’s the previous version below and some bolder colors here.
and now a couple more cover uploads. this one uses the tones from the cover image without blending too much with the colors to have a sort of synergy between the logo and the pallette of the page.
here’s a heavier outline and a different footer. still don’t know if i should add text explaining the feature.
i like this cover a lot more… blends what timbre is with the letters, each letter is clearly defined even when mixed in with the other colors/background. a t is stil a t, an r is an r.
a variant. i really wanted this to work, but it doesn’t… yet. way too hard to see. but i definitely want to apply the patterns used in the magazine in the cover. can’t figure out how, not just yet.
so this is what the back + front would look like when opened up. i know… i need to fix the bar on the left.
fixed the title a little bit, and i photoshopped the top of the bubble so to give myself some more room. bubble looks good eh?
do i need to add more? “wayne coyne” and features etc.?
names for magazine
up until this point i had decided that my magazine would be named “timbre” which is a musical term that means “tonal color” - aka, the difference between the sound of, say, a guitar and a saxophone when both instruments are playing the same thing. you can tell the timbre of the guitar makes it different than the timbre of the sax.
well, after looking at ted’s list yesterday, i decided to toy around with some other ideas. of course “nomad” hit me pretty hard, and i want it, but i won’t steal it, but i will rip it off. here’s the list:
- cement
- radish
- f sharp
- bedouin
- gyspy
- gauche
- fable
- vitriol
- avatar
or timbre. ramon suggested things like the names of notes - so that would lead me to names such as “whole” “eighth” “quarter” or even something like “interval” which i actually like as well. akjl;sdjfkl;asdfjasdf. thoughts?
